Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
I’m Shelley, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and a Certificate in Addiction Studies from the School of Behavioral Sciences at California Southern University. For the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals in recovery across both inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs that come with each stage of the healing journey.
My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, and Motivational Interviewing. I take a person-centered, integrated approach to recovery—focusing on the whole person rather than just the symptoms—because I believe lasting change happens when mind, body, and spirit are all supported.
In our work together, you can expect a collaborative, respectful space where your goals and strengths guide the process. Whether you’re taking your very first step toward recovery or building on the progress you’ve already made, I’m here to walk beside you as you reclaim your health, your confidence, and your sense of purpose.
